Please read them carefully since some of those MEET UP spots will just be a quick gathering and planning session before we set out for the days events. We're updating this schedule daily to fill in missing information. If the details you're looking for aren't here now, please check back in a couple days.

Friday, August 20th - Seattle->Road
- 7pm-8pm: MEET-UP: Linda's Tavern, 707 East Pine St, Capitol Hill, Seattle: Hometown bids farewell to the Driving Votes Caravan. Driving Votes founders/passengers, Yes from MTV’s Road Rules will be hosting a graffiti workshop to encourage people to make signs that Driving Votes volunteers will display across the country and at the Republican National Convention. Driving Votes volunteers and supporters will be available to discuss the cross-country caravan and the current political climate.
- 9pm: Depart Seattle. Drive all night.
Saturday, August 21st - Road
- 12:01am-9pm: Drive, Drive, Drive!
- 9pm: Arrive Denver. Rest, eat, and spend a few Saturday night hours in Denver! We will hit the road again in the middle of the night

Sunday, August 22nd - Kansas City, MO
- 9am: Arrive Lawrence , KS in the early morning Showers, leg-stretching, and breakfast
- 10am: MEET UP: Steve and Harriet's, 1509 Crescent Road, Lawrence, KS. Brunch with Kansas Driving Votes Volunteers and Supporters; press invited.
- 12 noon: Drive to Kansas City , MO.
- 1pm: MEET UP: ACORN office, 3931 Main Street, 2nd floor. Registration activities will launch from here.
- 1:00pm-6pm: voter registration and outreach. We have an extensive list of locations, both on-site and door-to-door opportunities.
All volunteers meet at the ACORN office to get organized.
Teams will go to locations including The City Market, several grocery stores, a gas station that has been good for us, and a couple favorite neighborhoods. One RV will tour parks and other public places in search of young voters.
We will also be doing door-to-door outreach with ACT and will be inagurating ACORN's Get Out The Vote drive in KC.
- 7-9:30pm: MEET UP: Californos Restaurant, 4124 Pennsylvania (in Westport, KC). Celebration of the First Day in a Swing State! Every progressive in KCMO is invited! Great outdoor space for our party if the weather is good. $10 flat fee for food and a drink. Can purchase more as desired.

Mon, August 23rd - Columbia, MO & St. Louis, MO
- 8am : Depart for Columbia, MO.
- 10:30am-11:45am: MEET-UP: University of Missouri, Columbia, at the Student Union Voter registration during the first day of classes! It is raining.
- 11:30am-12:30pm: Drive from Columbia to St. Louis, lunch in RVs while driving
- 3:00pm: MEET-UP: St. Charles Rock Road Metro stop, 7019 St. Charles Rock Rd. St. Louis, MO 63133. Registration with Missouri ProVote 3-6pm.
- 7pm: Dinner at MoKaBe's Cafe, 3606 Arsenal Street, St. Louis, MO (314-865-2009). Dinner with Driving Votes at MoKaBe's. Free information and inexpensive food.
- 10pm: Drive from St. Louis to Richmond, IN. Arrive around 3am.
Tuesday, August 24th - Oxford, OH & Cincinnati, OH
- The DV Caravan will split into two groups: The first RV will be at Miami University at Oxford and the second RV will be in Cincinnati (45 minutes apart)
- 10am-noon: Drive to Oxford and Cincinnati

Wednesday, August 25th - Columbus, OH
- 1pm – MEET-UP: The ACORN office, 1116 N. High (Click for map) and divide into groups based on interest (voter reg. vs. GOTV canvassing).
- 1:30-2:30pm - Lunch and training in groups.
- 2:30pm - Voter reg. crews head out with crew leaders. GOTV crews head to neighborhoods with organizers for briefing from ACORN members and to get walking lists.
- 3-7pm: Teams in the field.
Thursday, August 26th - Pittsburgh, PA
- 8am: Depart Columbus, arrive in Pittsburgh around 1pm and settle in at the house of our hosting Pittsburg DV volunteers
- 5-8pm: MEET UP for Potluck/BBQ at Sycamore Grove in Highland Park (Click for map) (Go North on Highland Ave. into the park. Turn right onto Reservoir Drive and follow it to Sycamore Grove:
Welcome Potluck/BBQ sponsored by the Pittsburgh VIE (Voter Initiative and Education) and Everybody Votes. Highland Park community leaders and local press will be invited.
Join us for the BBQ or just get there by 8pm to join registration activities afterwards.
- 8-12pm: Split into smaller teams with VIE people to do registration at a variety of fun evening activities (including the Quiet Storm show, 80s night dance club entrance booth, a gay bar downtown called Pegasus, and a local tavern called the BBT).
- 12-2am: MEET UP: the Upstage, 3609 Forbes Ave, Oakland) (Click for map) Join us for 80s night dancing and drinks before hitting the sack!
Friday, August 27th - Pittsburgh, PA
- 11am-noon: MEET UP: Meet us at Tazza d'Oro (1125 N Highland Ave) (Click for map), hosted by owner Amy Enrico. Join us for coffee and pastries. Our voter registration activities will launch from here. Press is invited.
- Daytime Friday: reg. with VIE people at a variety of events/venues, including a healthy living expo, the University of Pittsburgh as it is dorm move in day, the Andy Warhol Museum, Mattress Factory Museum, possibly early bar hopping happy hour registration, etc. Friday may also involve a highly visible trip down main streets w/ the RV.
- Night: Stay with volunteers in Pittsburg.
Saturday, August 28th - Philadelphia, PA
- 7am-noon: Drive 5 hours to Philly
- 3pm: MEET-UP: Clark Park, meet at intersection of South 43rd Street at Chester Click for map - Dozens of DV volunteers from the surrounding area will converge on Philly for weekend activities with the Young Voter Alliance. Boston and Philly Driving Votes groups are organizing the meeting. Registration at:

- 12:30-6pm--Registration in the burbs. Rendezvous at RV camp, one rep will deliver registrations to ACORN office (Kirby) while the rest pack up to hop over to Jersey.
Monday, August 30th - New York City
- 9am: Drive to Linden, NJ to return RVs by 11am
- Noon-1pm: Train ride to NYC
- 7pm: Voter registration and outreach at OKGO/Mazarin/TheQuick concert at the Knitting Factory (small crew of DV people will be staffing a table, more DV people welcome of course, but will have to pay ticket price for show: $12 advance, $14 at door)
Throughout New York Events, Driving Votes volunteers will make use of the Progressive Tourism Bureau at The Tank - 432 W. 42nd Street, ground floor (212-563-6269, www.thetanknyc.org). This is a one stop info center for all progressive activities during the RNC and ways to stay involved for the next two months. We will have a table there, and will use it as a place to get off the streets and take a break during the week's activities.
