Someone has got to explain this to me....John McCain campaigning in Florida with W? Earlier this week he blasts the Swift Boat Nuts Against Kerry and compares their tactics to what was done to him by the Rove-ing gang of thugs in South Carolina in 2000. He's recently been critical of W's now infamous carrier landing and has opposed W and the GOP on many matters that reflect a true moderate...and an intelligent one at that. Given McCain's record for speaking straight, I have often regarded him in the select company of political statesmen. That is no longer the case.

This is just another reason why I can't wait to get out to New Mexico in just over two weeks and hit the pavement. Its been many years since I last campaigned in a Presidential election (anyone remember Bruce Babbitt in Iowa 1988).....but there is no feeling like knocking on doors, meeting new people, getting them excited about voting and feeling like YOU are making a difference! Of course you'll periodically run into those who disagree with you... but hey some people just don't know any better and never learned the simple things in life….like sharing and watching out for one another.
