Austin-Dallas Express - August 08, 2004Today we held our first organizing meeting in Dallas (we had one in Austin last weekend) and my wife and I drove from Austin to take part. It’s a 3 1/2 hour trip from our south Austin home, which is just around the corner here in Texas! The meeting was held at a Spring Creek BBQ, which serves up some great BBQ! As we pulled into the lot, we made a point to park close to some cars with W 04 stickers...somehow our "Nobody Died When Clinton Lied" bumper sticker really gets those W supporters going (my wife and I can be very mischievous). The meeting was great; we had five wonderfully motivated people show up and discussed the key items for our Driving Votes Texas efforts: It made for a long day, but the success of the meeting and the satisfaction of knowing that I've taken another step in assisting in the defeat of the most horrible administration in my lifetime (including Nixon) made it a most satisfying day indeed! // posted by kurt at 08:11 PM
